Everyone is Thinking It

This is sweet satire. I saw his billboards last time I was in SLC and thought the same thing.

If my unofficial polling is any real sign of how the voting will go -- for him it isn't great. Everyone I know is either going third party or Ashdown.

I'm still not sure how I'll vote on this one. I doubt I can stomatch pressing his name on Nov. 7.

I love that there is an ad to support Orrin Hatch right above this post.

Only if that billboard was real...

Hatch's seniority and the associated benefits are hard to turn away. Ashdown is a hell of a nice guy, but he's going to lose big on election day.

I don't doubt that amongst those you know, most will vote for Ashdown. We do, however, tend to surround ourselves with people who are like us economically, religiously, socially and politically.

I will truly be shocked if Ashdown gets more than 40% of the vote. To his credit, Ashdown has run an AMAZING full on campaign with almost no money. A wonderful victory in and of itself

There's the rub, Tom. His seniority and the rights and priviledges associated with it will be impossible to turn away (the reason Steve U, the man I would liked to have on the Republican ticket, didn't have a chance of getting decent funding)

Those around me consider themselves to be conservatives. (admittedly a very small circle of friends) Two or three say they will go Constitution party for senate and a couple have said they will hit Ashdown. The major reason that most people give is "voting for someone other than Hatch is the only way to have my voice heard by Hatch".

That Orrin Hatch google ad above the post is a riot. This is proof that Big Brother is watching.

I'm voting 3rd party, but unfortunately I'm afraid most Utahns will just punch the ticket for seniority.

I haven't voted for Hatch in the last two elections either.

I wish people would realize that if you want change, you have to start somewhere. The only ones who throw away their votes are the ones who don't vote according to their personal integrity.
